WHO DO I NEED ON THE JOURNEY? (4 WEEKS)

“Plans go wrong for lack of advice; many advisers bring success." - Proverbs 15:22

Your life is dramatically influenced by the company you keep.

Wisely choosing the right people to fill specific roles in your life is key to Living Fully Alive. On this topic, you will learn which roles to fill and how to give and receive life through them.

Week 1 - It Takes A Village -- John 13:34-35; Hebrews 10:23-25; Acts 2:42-47

QUOTE FOR OPTIONAL CONVERSATION: "If you spend the time to develop trusting and mutually-beneficial relationships with mentors, peers, and apprentices, you will have developed your 360 Degree Spiritual Support. With this system you will have wisdom beyond your years to guide you, loyal friends by your side to protect and support you, and impressionable lives in your wake that you want to never disappoint… which is the most valuable key to accountability available."

Week 2 - I Need A Mentor To Guide Me -- Exodus 18:1-27

QUOTE FOR OPTIONAL CONVERSATION: "Finding a mentor should be similar to developing a friendship… casual, organic and one that evolves with time and mutual investment. Resist the urge to 'cold call' someone to ask them to be your mentor."

Week 3 - I Need Two Peers To Walk With Me -- Ecclesiastes 4:7-12

QUOTE FOR OPTIONAL CONVERSATION: "The best peers share three essential qualities with you: a strong chemistry, a strong desire for growth, and a strong commitment to confidentiality. 100% transparency is risky. Almost everyone shares 50% of their lives with a circle of friends. Many share 75%-80%. Very few people share the last 5% of their lives with others. Sadly, the biggest threats to living Fully Alive... the secret failures and debilitating shame and pain, reside within that last 5%.”

Week 4 - I Need Apprentices That Are Following After Me -- Luke 6:12-13; 1 Kings 19:19-21; Acts 16:1-5; 2 Timothy 2:1-2

QUOTE FOR OPTIONAL CONVERSATION: "Perhaps the most significant benefit of investing in apprentices is the growth of a legacy, a spiritual family that influences many nuclear and extended families. Many of the apprentices I have mentored over the years have already developed apprentices that have become mentors. Several of those first and second generation apprentices have become my closest friends and partners in ministry.”
