Dear Media City Church,

It is difficult to fully express our gratitude for each of you and for your unwavering commitment to one another and to Christ. This past year, as always, has brought both highs and lows, joys and sorrows. In it all, as we have remained faithful in the small things, we have witnessed the incredible faithfulness of God in the big things.

From serving the one person in front of us, providing housing and essentials during the LA fires, and successfully pulling together the funds for the roof project we have accomplished so much together. This year, we have prayed, laughed, grieved, and served as one body. While we have walked hand in hand through some difficult and uncertain times, we are now seeing the fruit that comes from continuing to walk in obedience to Him. Truly, He has been good to us.

As we look ahead, our prayer for this coming year is that we remain close to His heart and continue to grow in unity and in our service to others.

With love and gratitude,

Three month generosity challenge
Like any new spiritual habit, generosity requires faith, ongoing dedication, and timely encouragement. We want to walk with you in this next step as you partner with Media City Church and hold your money with care!
Jesus, the exact representation of God Himself, modeled generosity by being the most generous human to ever walk the planet (Acts 20:35; Mt. 20:28). A common uttered truth says “you can’t out-give God”. As the church, we bear the responsibility to help provide for one another’s needs as a family, while also give towards the fullness of God’s goodness practically being expressed in the local community and beyond.
Acts 4:34-35 - There were no needy people among them, because those who owned land or houses would sell them 35 and bring the money to the apostles to give to those in need.
1 Corinthians 16:1-2 - Now regarding your question about the money being collected for God’s people in Jerusalem. You should follow the same procedure I gave to the churches in Galatia. 2 On the first day of each week, you should each put aside a portion of the money you have earned. Don’t wait until I get there and then try to collect it all at once.
Countless people experience God’s blessings when they build the habit of generosity towards the mission of God. Throughout Biblical history, we see God’s people give a tithe (the first 10%) of their resources to support the community, while Jesus uses this standard as a launchpad towards an ideal standard of endless generosity modeled through His life, death, and resurrection. The Three Month Generosity Challenge is a money back guarantee of sorts. We are collectively committed as a local church in being people that have a “Heart For The House”!
