WHO IS JESUS? (5 WEEKS)
Jesus has promised you the Fully Alive life. Jesus has invited you to follow Him to find that life. But, who is this Jesus? What is He really like?

Jesus is one of the world's most influential figures. Much has been written about Him. Scholars, fans, and critics alike have tried to explain Jesus... and the volume of information can be overwhelming. To best know Jesus, perhaps it is wise to simply read what he said about Himself.

As you engage these passages you will discern the uniqueness of Jesus and why He alone is qualified to lead you into the Fully Alive life.

Week 1: “Jesus is a servant.” -- John 13:1-17
QUOTE FOR OPTIONAL CONVERSATION: "Jesus’ attitude of servanthood was in direct contrast to that of the disciples, who had recently been arguing among themselves as to which of them was the greatest. Since there was no servant present to wash their feet, it would never have occurred to them to wash one another’s feet. When the Lord Himself stooped to this lowly task, they were stunned into silence."
Week 2: "Jesus is a healer" -- Luke 7:11-17

QUOTE FOR OPTIONAL CONVERSATION: "Ultimately, our full physical healing awaits us in heaven. In heaven, there will be no more pain, sickness, disease, suffering, or death.”

Week 3: “Jesus is a redeemer.” -- Luke 19:1-10

QUOTE FOR OPTIONAL CONVERSATION: "The streets of heaven will be filled with former captives who, through no merit of their own, find themselves redeemed, forgiven, and free.”

Week 4: "Jesus is the Son of God." -- John 17:1-5

QUOTE FOR OPTIONAL CONVERSATION: "To be the Son of God is to be of the same nature as God. The Son of God is 'of God.' The claim to be of the same nature as God—to in fact be God—was blasphemy to the Jewish leaders; therefore, they demanded Jesus’ death.”

Week 5: "Jesus is The Way." -- John 14:1-10

QUOTE FOR OPTIONAL CONVERSATION: "A way is a path or route, and the disciples had expressed their confusion about where He was going and how they could follow. As He had told them from the beginning, Jesus was again telling them (and us) “follow me.”
